Dating back 8,000 years old, Les Fouaillages prehistoric burial mound discovered in 1976 following an accidental fire. Because of the late discovery, a full modern excavation was possible of the untouched site, compared to other Guernsey sites that were years ago. This uncovered intriguing new evidence about ancestors of Guernsey. Over 35,000 fascinating finds have been made at the site, some of which are currently on display at the Guernsey Museum in Candie Gardens.
